I'm consider buy a gaming PC someone bought about 2 years ago. It an AMD build from iBUYPOWER. I'm not familiar with AMD parts but the system could be useful with a few upgrades. He's selling it for $700.

Asus crosshair formula iv or V (I forgot)

AMD FX-8150 3.6GHZ CPU

XFX R7770 1GBx2

8GB gskill ripjaws memory

Corsair TX-850

Cooled by corsair H60

2xSeagate 2TB HDD

AZZA case.

Considering moving parts over to htpc case as the azza case is an eyesore.

What are your thoughts?

Dude I think it's a really good system. Most people say the 8150 is a bad processor, but for me is really good.

The 8150 (bulldozer) is about on par with a 6350 (piledriver), the only reason the 8150 benches high is because it has more cores which are useless in gaming and the 6350 has superior single thread performance so the 6350 is much better.

I know it's useless for gaming, but perfect for everything else. I can have 30 chrome tabs, photoshop, blender and eclipse open with a 35% hit on the 8150. Doesn't seem bad to me.
