Good moreing/Afternoon to everyone!

 

With black Friday and Cyber Monday right around the corner I was thinking of up grading either my CPU or my graphics card. This is my current set up.

 

Ryzen 5 2600x slight OC

RX 570 8gb 

16g ram

Blah blah blah 

 

 

My question is what should I upgrade? CPU or GPU? My budget is $400 I will be going to Fry's on Black Friday FYI.

i guess your GPU if anything, but I dont think you really need to upgrade your system should be good.

If anything I would do your gpu, maybe go for a 1070?

Why would you upgrade your CPU? It's perfectly fine. I'd also leave the GPU unless you're playing games at more than 60fps.

"Blah blah blah" isn't a very helpful system spec.

You can't upgrade your CPU in any decent measure for $400.   Could pop for a 1070 for that amount, it's an upgrade.

 

You most likely have other components that may be worth upgrading before the minimal benefit of a 1070 though.

16GB RAM is plenty for most applications these days.

Ryzen 5 2600x is in the latest Zen architecture chip family, no real reason to upgrade it. If anything, OC it more (and get a new cooler if your temps are too high).

RX 570 is ~a year and a half old (from release date). So if you really want to upgrade something, just nab a 1070+ (20 series Nvidia is too expensive and not good enough to recommend, unless the sale is deep enough).

 

Edit: If you do not have one (or more) already, you could get an SSD boot drive (and/or game drive). SSDs are really nice to have.
