Please don't roast me too hard:

Hey guys,

I'm planning an upcoming M-ITX build for Black Friday. I am looking at the Strix Z370-I  ITX paired with a 9700k. I was going to go for the Dark Rock Pro 4. But, I know there is two CPU cables for the two fans and the motherboard only has one. Do I need a hub for them to both work properly? I have a hub now but even the hub only has one CPU 4-pin connector. I was under the impression that they both have to be in CPU headers, because don't the CPU and case fans work differently? What do I do? Thanks for all the suggestions.

The 4-pin pwn fan connectors on the Dark Rock Pro 4 will work on any fan header, whether it's the one cpu fan header or a case fan header. Since there are 2 fans, you can plug one fan into the cpu fan header and the other into a case fan header or you can use a hub or pwm fan splitter cable to connect everything to the cpu fan header

that's not a real mITX Build and thus make little to no sense as you're just throwing money out of the window for something that should be small but isn't.

With that you should be looking at µATX or even full ATX instead...

Anyway, the Dark Rock Pro should come with a fan Splitter...

What case are you using? Sounds like a Micro-ATX might be a better idea.

Compromise would be a Fractal Design Nano S which is a superb ITX case.

It might fit a full size cooler but I put in a Dark Rock Slim instead to ensure clearance, a Evo212 was just a few mm within so didnt risk it!

You could also go for an AIO instead, these negate the issues of cooler clearance. The Fractal case can fit 240mm coolers at least IIRC. You can even mount two in one case!
