is the hp parivllion good fro cad

Will the good HP Pavilion 15-cs0511sa be any good for cad? it has 8th generation i7, 256gb SSD, 16gb ram and a mx150 (4gb dedicated) for £950, but I out of stock till late December. I'm currently using auto desk inventor on my tower but I need a portable option for uni. any other suggestions or opinions?

mx150 is weak for cad tho. look into quadro's or firepro.

you could get it new, or get used

You might want more powerful hardware. Where are you from? Budget? Any preference on weight and battery life?

General rule of thumb, HP Pavilions are bad. We have some with i7s and Quadros at work, they all run really poorly. I'd look at Dell or Asus if I were you

That's way overpriced. I got the non-i7 model with 1050 for €750.

 

But which CAD application? Only Solidworks NEEDS a Quadro/FirePro, others are fine with Geforce.
