Side panel just exploded

Stumble

It was a nice morning, the computer was off over the night, and like every few weeks, I wanted to remove the side panel to clean dust.

I took off the for screws, and suddenly it shattered into a million pieces in my hands. I could still hear the glass pop on the floor for like 20 minutes.

My retailer said that "it happens" and he will sell me a new one for about a 1\3 of the case price.

What the hell.

Coolermaster Stryker, BTW,

Tempered glass

this video explains tempered glass pretty well essentially the glass is put under internal pressure so its stronger though if some thing sharp chips it or pentrates it the pressure is released and it explodes

Do not go to to a retailer for a replacement. Go To CoolerMaster directly

Update:

After a few days of contacting Cooler Master they told me that they would've sent me a new panel for free, but because I already bought one from my retailer, they're sending me "A little something" else.

Let's see how creative they are.
