Upgrading

Hello everyone so my friend is trying to buy a computer and im just wondering with the parts this computer have would it be able to handle a gtx 1060 and also add a SSD in the process. I mean it should be able to handle it but im just having second doubts and an opinion another person would be greatly appreciated.

It's probs a generic PSU so I'd pick up a grey label Corsair CX or CXM to swap out with it and it should be good. You'll only need a 450W one, I ran an i5 and 980 Ti off one for a good while, and the 980 Ti eats way more power than a 1060.

Rather pointless to change the graphics card because the RX 470 performs the same as the GTX 1060 3GB on average and about 10-15% slower than the 1060 6gb. Very not worth swapping out.

Why would you replace a rx 470 with a 1060? The rx 470 is a very capable card and isn't all that far behind the 1060 so might as well save the money and run it with the rx 470.

The CPU is fine for 60hz gaming, the GPU is fine for 1080p gaming
