It's hard to say without knowing how Raytracing will pan out, as there's no game support and Windows support for it as of yet.

Saying it a 1000 times means it must be a 1000 Times better!!

I will see a jump from 60fps to 60.000fps!!! XD

Just joshing of course but his statements are kind of out of the blue and not really measurable.

I just wanted a 2070 that was as fast as a 1080ti for $400-$450.without any new BS tech used to justify price gouging. RTX is being pushed onto us to early. Also how is the 2070 a 106 chip??? and not a 104 chip like the 1070 is.

That's not how generation shifts work or have worked so far. It's normal for RTX 2070 to be as fast as GTX 1080. RTX 2080 was around GTX 1080Ti speeds and RTX 2080Ti is faster than anything, as expected. The rule "Current high end is as fast as last year top end" still applies. Tiers always move for one step up with each generation. It's normal with graphic cards and I've seen it with LCD TV's where new lower end models get more features from high end models of the last year.

Lol, why did you expect a 2070 to even come close to the performance of a 1080Ti.

That has never been Nvidias upgradepath ever.

I'm looking at it like this:

RTX2070 = new 1080

RTX2080 = new 1080TI

RTX2080Ti = new Titan

in terms of how they are replaced of course

Because of pricing changes.

Wasn't there a huge gap because of the architecture?

The 1070 is a bit more powerful, but not by a lot.

Pascal was a pretty big improvement compared to predecessors.

Also in terms of greed, i think they are trying to get the RTX investment back of course and they have been working on it for some time.

That would increase the price of course but this is rather a bit high.

Although we don't know the investment kost of the RTX chip compared to the jump from Maxwell to Pascal.

If we knew it could mean a more understandable price jump.

nGreedia can stick raytracing up their asses. I mean, wtf? We want performance, not some shiny shit.

Damn, I'm very very glad I got the 1080Ti instead of the 2080Ti. Fucking expensive as shit and totally worthless.
