Hello guys, I'm a noob to PC building as well as forums, so forgive me if I put this in the wrong place.

So the problem I'm having with my new system is that I'm having really low FPS for what I would consider a fairly decent gaming rig.

CPU: Ryzen 2600 overclocked to 4.1GHz

Cooling: CoolerMaster LC120E AIO

MB: Aorus B450 Pro WiFi

RAM: 2x Vengeance 16 GB running dual channel at 3000 MHz

GPU: GTX 1070Ti stock speeds

Fortnite runs at 130 FPS on ultra and dips  to 20 sometimes when around a lot of people.

World War 3 has similar issues but runs at around 60 FPS On high with dips in fights.

Far Cry 5 doesn't dip too bad and FPS stays around 80.

Any help would be much appreciated

Use a program like MSI afterburner or HWMonitor to monitor your CPU and GPU temps and usage during games (not task manager, it can read the wrong stuff). It's possible you're getting a CPU spike, which would cause a dip in FPS. What might cause that is another question (that task manager might actually answer). What resolution do you play at?

Those aren't terrible performance numbers. The dips are a bit odd though.

Is your GPU OC'd? If not a 1070Ti isn't much or a performance jump over a normal 1070, an OC that would boost FPS. As for WW3 I can't give a good answer but take this video as a general guideline of what to expect in most games.

This is with a 1600 and 1070 so you sohuld be a bit better off:

Well like the LTT review said the Ti has a lot more in common with the 1080 than the 1070, but even with that the 1070 is a 1440p card and a lot of the tests I see are run at 1440p. I'm running at 1080p I would've thought I would've seen a increase in FPS.

I use those programs, the hottest core is under 60 degrees, and I play at 1080p

okay hows your net connection?

Not the best but I have no issues with multiple people being on at once including ~4 Netflix streams and an Xbox on fortnite as well as phones doing social network stuff. But when no one's home I still have issues so I wanna say it's not connection but I can't 100% rule out. I get ~50 ping on average and ~20 on a good day (on fortnite)

you should get more.

try screen shotting temps. i have a feeling its either one of 2.

In this game I received frame drops all the way down to 20-30 FPS, I couldnt play and screenshot that however as it only dropped when moving. The temps are from after the game and they should be well under the throttling threshold. I should add GPU temps maxed out at 71 during this one game

turn off bios modd just use ryzen master. if your lows are 84 then thats fine.

but 20 thats messed up.

can i see your ryzen master oc setup

Yeah my thoughts exactly, I have a 60 Hz monitor so 80 is fine despite not getting my money's worth ill at least be able to play, with it dipping to 20 in key situations such as a fight is just crippling.

Theres so many submenus what setting did you want to see?

there should be a setting there where it allows the priority to go to the gpu.

if you cant find it i suggest you boot into safe mode.

DDU the entire gpu drivers including the amd graphic drivers.

then install the nvidia drivers.

the priority is most likely going to the apu on the cpu.

how did you install the graphic drivers?
