Please Check out and critique my build

I'm starting a build to keep me alive during high school and i just want to be able to play some AAA games at at least a decent frame rate, my current build doesn't even have a gpu so I'm hoping to upgrade quite a bit. The entire build is from amazon but I might switch to pc part picker. For the case I originally wanted to get an NZXT s340 Elite Black/red but it seems like they're not on amazon anymore, also I'm not planning to overclock so i didn't feel the need to get a Z270 or am I5-8400k.

one thing. 8th gen chips need a 370 mobo, not a 270.

I'm gonna go find my own tech support...

with BLACKJACK and HOOKERS!

If you are going with Intel, I would spend a little less money on the RAM and just get 2400MHz or something. Also I would personally buy a cheaper motherboard and a less expensive case and put all the money you save into a better GPU. Also do you plan to have two SSDs or have you not yet decided on which one to get? Lastly you can save money on you Windows by buying it in certain (legal) online places. I don't know where you live and which sites you can get it from, but over here I can get one for way less than that. You should be able to get at least a RX580 with these savings and still have some money to spare.

Ok thanks for the critique ill see what i can find and i mean i havent decided yet which ssd i should get, either the sata ssd or the m.2 ssd, also the ram i found is 16gb and i believe a good value, but ill see what i can find not a lot of 16gb ram sticks i found go for 130$

Oh my bad, I see now that it's 2x8GB, I thought 8 in total which would be very expensive at 130$. In that case the RAM is fine, saving a little on the other parts should still give you a means to get a 580.

Why that case? The cooler master h500 is way better (links to all the parts will be posted below). Also, why not go with AMD since Intel's pricing has gone up from short supply. Getting an r5 2600 paired with a msi b450-a pro or msi b450 tomahawk is an amazing duo that will perform nearly identical to your choices. If you went with the AMD option, then you could use the extra money to purchase a higher end GPU, such as a radeon rx 580 8GB. If you went with the AMD option, then you should keep the ram you originally picked, but if you still choose intel, then I would downgrade to ram with speeds around 2400 or 2666

I'm looking for a cheaper case right now, but finding one that includes 7 fans like my current one is proving a bit difficult

Your build does not need 7 fans tho, js.

Yea, check out benchmarks for each build and see the performance difference. The price difference however is $125 comparing your cpu + mobo combo and the r5 2600 and b450-a pro pair

Ok I see what you mean, about the cpu, not the fans :T, anyhow i can see the price difference but should i get the 2600x or 2600? the 2600x is only 4$ more than my current cpu, also does the mobo support OC because then i can get the 2600x and OC it

you're better off getting the 2600 and overclocking to make up the difference, use the money on a 580 instead.

if moneys tight yeah try spend less but chance of decent fans is less maybe look at second hand better chance of coming with a fan or two and save a dollar.

If you not planning to overclock passed 4Ghz the stock 2600 cooler should have you covered,
ryzen likes faster tighter memory so try get the fastest and lowest CL timing ram you can, that's why I recommend 3200Mhz CL16

also ive heard the msi armor coolers are a bit trash but that was on a 1080 surely some youtube videos can tell you for sure for the 580

also I would spend a little more on the motherboard as it can impact overclock quite a bit if you go to cheap. but that one looks okay

but shouldnt the 7 fans from my original case help with that?

If you not planning to overclock passed 4Ghz the stock 2600 cooler should have you covered,
ryzen likes faster tighter memory so try get the fastest and lowest CL timing ram you can, that's why I recommend 3200Mhz CL16

also ive heard the msi armor coolers are a bit trash but that was on a 1080 surely some youtube videos can tell you for sure for the 580

also I would spend a little more on the motherboard as it can impact overclock quite a bit if you go to cheap. but that one looks okay
