VGA + 4k + TN + 10bit ? Isn't that a big pile of BS?

4k + 10bit, good.

4k + TN, could be better.

4k + VGA, stupidity.

VGA + 10bit, not sure if this works.

TN + 10bit, not conviced.

I mean, common, philips has retired from cheap monitors/TVs market, and now this?

And to add with this (as if it wasn't already enough)

"meet the visual demands of the most sophisticated power user"
TN is there to meet visual demands of powerusers?

That French guy who lives in the Netherlands and speaks German.

I really don't understand the brouhaha over 4k gaming.  For desktop work, 4k makes tons of sense.  Unless money is no object, 4k gaming is impractical currently.  A GTX Titan struggles to drive games at playable frame rates at that resolution.  You need a minimum of two to game comfortably.

My PC specifications are in my profile.

Why is that? You can work in windows @4K but you don't need 4x780ti's to get reasonable frame rates.

Its not console like if you have 8 times the amount of pixels on a half the size screen.

That basically makes AA unnecessary which is the main problem with consoles.

So much fail at all levels.

Let's assume that the panel is true 10-bit TN panel... (my vote is some emulation, but anyway),

If you need 10-bit colors, you won't buy a shitty TN panel, with limited view angles, with colors that shift as you move your head, making the advantage of 10-bit panel for your professional work, 100% worthless.

And let's not even talk about the inputs....

Philips is going the way of Kodak, mark my words. They are niching themselves into no man's land, nobody at the company seems to have any clue what anyone would want or need.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.

I remember Wendell saying as much.  I'm not sure how 1440p would look better on a 4k panel than on one that is native 1440p.  If you have a lower resolution, and you stretch it to a higher resolution, data is not added to the picture.  It's still the same number of pixels.  They're just larger.

You might have to save the 1080p version for it to display properly.
