Super weird BSODs

Gamerofallgames

Now hear me out. I have an old HP Pavilion, with a core 2 quad, 6 GB of ram, and a hard disk that won't boot. I recently got an ATI radion 4300 from a friend throwing out an old pc. he had taken the hard drive out but he did give me the GPU, so I popped it into my pc and got a BSOD that told me the error code 0x0000007E, after some restarts (AFTER, removing the card) I got another BSOD error code, 0x0000001E, after running a test on HDD I said I had A SMART error biohd-8, I had then run a SMART test in the bios, and the HDD had Failed at the read stage. Now I don't know if this happened because of the New GPU i had put in or what but... I need some help fixing it.

So its a prebuilt.Do you use the same PSU that the PC had,If then It might not have enough power to provide the GPU.If the HDD has a smart error, more often it means your HDD is failing

ok then, I need to save some files from the HDD. I don't have a 3.5 SATA to USB, any temp fixes so I can save the files?
