I think iv'e boiled it down to the Asus or Msi's R9 270x, or possibly EVGA's 760 'super clocked'..

For gaming on probably a single 1080p monitor possibly a lesser quality second monitor also what card should I go towards?

Other suggestions for the $250ish price range for one or possibly two monitors? (If there is a better card for what I am using it for)

The GTX 760 will perform a little bit better but I don't feel like the extra $50 USD is worth it.

I would go for the Asus R9 270x Direct CU II

It really comes down to what you want to do with your pc. With many modern games going to be using Amd Mantle I went with the Asus R9 270x dcuii top card personally. But the 760 is a great card but it will cost you a little extra cash. If you use a Amd based card with a game running mantle then you will see a massive improvement over a nvidia based card. But like i said the gtx 760 is a great card, don't think I lean towards one or the other. I'm actually likeing the R9 270x that I will be getting another and running them in crossfire. But  I have a friend that has a gtx 760 and it is a beast card as well.

AMD diehard & Nvidia Enthusiest
