Upgrading to 16GB of RAM

I currently have dual channel DDR3 8GB (4GBx2) Adata gaming series RAM kit in my pc and want to upgrade to 16GB. The kit has been discontinued as my pc is nearing 7 years old now, can I just pick up another dual channel kit with the same speed/CL settings from another brand and just throw it in there with it? Or do I have to buy all new RAM?

Here's the specs for the kit I currently have.

Cheers, Mat.

Any DDR3 RAM compatible with your motherboard/CPU will be fine. If possible get RAM with the same frequency and timings. If you have RAM with different frequencies/timings, the faster RAM will match itself to the slower RAM, but it will all still work.

CPU: Intel i7 6700k  | Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170x Gaming 5 | RAM: 2x16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance LPX | GPU: Gigabyte Aorus GTX 1080ti | PSU: Corsair RM750x (2018) | Case: BeQuiet SilentBase 800 | Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34 eSports | SSD: Samsung 970 Evo 500GB + Samsung 840 500GB + Crucial MX500 2TB | Monitor: Acer Predator XB271HU + Samsung BX2450
