Hello and thanks for looking and helping. Would like to stay about 1k or under with this build. I will be using this for everything from games to simple office work. This is just a starting point and would like to fine tune everything before I start buying..

Do you burn a lot of media?
If not I'd probably skip the disc drive.

Is the wireless adapter needed?

I only ask because I've had friends that just assume they need one.

I wouldn't spend that much on a non-mechanical keyboard. Either buy a cheap one or spend the extra ~$30 for a mechanical. I would only get the blue ray drive and card reader if you absolutely need them. You should also probably get a better motherboard. And get a cheaper wireless card unless you have a 5ghz router that you want to use.

It's not bad, but if you could expand your budget, remove the OS, card reader, and BD drive you could get a much better z87 mATX board and i5k.

The wireless adapter is needed and need dual band. That was the cheapest i found so far. I do burn allot of media and while i was buying new i thought might as well get a Blu-ray burner/player. The card reader i do need.

Thanks, Do you have a mechanical in mind? Would perfer backlit keys. I will be using a dual band router. As for the motherboard what would you have in mind for that? Thanks! I'm trying to get a solid list of parts then i will go hunting for sales.

I have a CM Quickfire TK with Cherry blues (http://www.amazon.com/CM-Storm-QuickFire-TK-Mechanical/dp/B00A378L4C/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1388962448&sr=8-2&keywords=quickfire+tk), I really like it and it is fully backlit and is about as inexpensive as you can get for a backlit. If you wait the price will probably go down, I got mine for like $65 after a rebate. I don't know much about which motherboards are good and which aren't, I know its not good to cheap out on them though. You may want to ask someone else or start a new thread for that.

Looks pretty good. If you could expand your budget, I'd advise you get a better graphics card, but if you can't, the build is pretty solid as it is.

Thanks, What would you consider to be the best alternative for the Graphics card?

A 280X. Or a 770. Both are excellent choices but are well out of your current budget.

To be blunt, what I recommended is better.
