Thanks for the prompt reply !

@Brooksie359 Are you familiar with the benchmark tab on CPU-z? is this any good?

That's the max all core turbo frequency. It's totally normal for it to up that high because it has the thermal headroom to do so.

in CPU-Z its jumping image.png.29d780524238841c1b6580105fe088cd.png Every few seconds is X8.0 , then x29 then back to 44 and so fort.

also the GPU started to jump . image.png.edc41e5d7a08869db489eb1709dbf13c.png

All i have open is GPU tweak, CPU-Z and chrome..

Small loads here and there tend to cause clock speed fluctuations. It's nothing out of the ordinary.

Hi All,
I am wondering if this is normal for this CPU? I did not overclock it in BIOS but it runs a higher frequency. At the time of taking the screenshot nothing except chrome was running.
I noticed the multiplier is changing on its own every few seconds from x43 to x44.
never used CPU-Z so i wanted to check if that's normal.  Could it be because of XMP enabled in bios? But it should not touch my CPU afaik?

What you think?

That's it's boost clock. It is simply boosting to 4.4 to 4.3 on all cores just like it's supposed to. If you overclock you can have it hit way higher with most people being able to hit 5ghz.

Honestly I would use hardware monitor.

The CPU will boost up to 5.0 GHz depending on the loading, so it is normal to see the frequency vary.

I see nothing wrong with these screenshots, C states and EIST dynamically adjust core speed and voltage, same goes for graphics cards it ramps up when there is a demand.

Thanks Levent, just wanted to make sure, cause in theory there was nothing demanding running on the PC. (well except chrome :P
I'm still kinda learning this stuff.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.
