Simple question: Can I add a rubber grommet or the like to an acrylic DIY Shroud

GarageMan

So I want to make a PSU shroud for my Fractal FOcus G, and was wondering if it is possible to add a rubber grommet or anything like that to the shroud for a GPU power cable. What tolls does this require? Thanks

You can just cut out a hole in the acrylic. A grommet for it will be hard, I don't know of an easy way to do DIY rubber. Maybe you could buy the grommet online and size the hole accordingly.

it's time

I agree, cut it out. just use a jig saw and go nice and slow with a fine blade. For the grommet. Performance PC's will have a bunch of options.

Alright that's awesome and exactly what I was hoping for. Now, if it's not too much of a bother, any reccomendations on cheap jigsaws? Not sure I havea many other times I'm going to use it

You can even use a dremel or fret saw by hand, acrylic is pretty easy to cut. Just make sure if you plan to use a rubber grommet that you know the specified cut dimensions for it to fit into place. For round grommets you can get adjustable hole saws to cut it at exactly the right size.

This is nothing special but will work for the odd project here and there.
