Grub behaves differently since reinstall

Hey all,

 

I recently had to reinstall Kubuntu 18.04 LTS because I accidentally wiped the hard drive it was installed on.  Since then, I have had a lot of trouble with the Grub bootloader.

 

First, I can no longer see Windows 10 as an option in the bootloader.  I only get Ubuntu and Advanced Options for Ubuntu.  Every post that I have read walking through the process of adding Windows through a "menuentry" in the grub.d folder has not worked for me

 

Second, the resolution seems to have changed to a lower resolution.  I have been reading a lot of different forum posts and cannot seem to find anything that brings Windows 10 back as an entry to Grub.
