i7 8086k Vs 9900k

Go to solution Solved by 1988fido,

ok it seems you guys made me rethink not to change anything .

I will just buy a camera for my stream :/ and tell my friend to go buy brand new.

Hi

I am planning to buy a pc :/ and sort of in rush for it can't wait more as the more I wait the more money I spend from what I saved so far hhhhhhh.
my goal to get the highest fps possible in competitive gaming so which one of these will do it ?

i7 8086k VS 9900k?
so I wait for the i9 9900k with z390 boards.
or just buy right now 8086k

2nd reason to rush is my friend pc is crashing in every game we play so my plan is to give him my old hardware for friendly price and I upgrade to something that give me amazing fps in csgo, wow , dota etc..

First off, don't get an 8086k. 8700k is a much better deal.

As for 9900k... we can't tell you since it's not out.

Make sure to quote me or tag me when responding to me, or I might not know you replied! Examples:

Do this:

And make sure you do it by hitting the quote button at the bottom left of my post, and not the one inside the editor!

Or this:

@DocSwag

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

The 9900K will be better than the 8086 but without any benchmarks or data to show you I can't tell you by how much it is 'better' by.

Go the 8700k for sure and spend the saving on a 2080 or Ti. I have a 8700k @ 5ghz 1.29v and a G1 gaming 1080 OC'd and I get 144fps high setting for my 144hz gsync monitor in all games battlefield 1, overwatch, pubg. what im trying to say is for dota, csgo and wow a gtx 1070ti OC'd will get you 200fps allday everyday

How many ghz is your 8700k overclocked to right now?

If it is over 5.1ghz then the 8086k wont give you any perfomance upgrade at all(it is just a binned 8700k)

Then your only hope is to wait for the 9900k.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

Honestly a delidded 8700k vs a delidded 8086k will perform pretty much the same, maybe the 8086 will get 2-300 mhz higher on overclock which you honestly wouldn't notice much if any of (we're talking 5% difference here)

don't think upgrading Gpu will get me more fps at these games as the Gpu usage don't reach high ( in csgo as example ) and cpu is getting used full

To be honest that's on you, you should have bought a better board.

Sorry but I just can't understand why you'd do this, you've got the top of the line in the current generation.

What kinda fps are you getting? With that kind of system you should be pushing over 300 fps easily at 1080p, there's not much need to go higher than that unless you have a 240hz monitor and can actually tell the difference at that point.

you sound like your looking for a reason to buy a i9 9900k

just do it reason is 8 cores 16 threads at 5.3ghz with a soldiered IHS also as you said you want a new mobo

not in everything

like wow for example I suffer in fps and cpu usage gets high like 80%+
fps sometimes go low for 40's or 30's
in pvp I can't play low fps

These are not reasons, these are excuses to flush money down the drain when it doesn't make sense to do so.
