Far cry 5 unable to keep above 30 FPS

I’m running a 1080ti and an 8700k and trying to run far cry 5 in 4K on ultra, and I’ve seen plenty of benchmarks with this same configuration getting 55-60 FPS, anyone able to help me out here?

 

heres the benchmark I am comparing primarily for reference:

Turn off Vsync, check your Nvidia control pannel or whatever they call it for any power limiters or frame caps. Also check your CPU usage. Could be a Windows scheduler issue.

Here’s what I got

Far Cry 5 probably uses a double-buffered V-sync setup; if you prefer to keep that on, turn on Adaptive V-sync in the Nvidia Control Panel.

Put FarCry in windowed mode and keep Task Manager open so you can see your CPU usage while the game is running.

My cpu usage under load hits 40 MAX, it’s usially around 30

Then that is the problem. Should be way higher than that. Your CPU isnt processing enough frames for some reason. 

 

I guess I would try reinstalling FarCry? Outside of that it might be a Windows issue that I personally don't know how other fix other than a reinstall.
