Hi guys I am a notice pc builder .

 

Once I get a gaming I plan on using it up in the loft but my router is downstairs in the living room.

 

What do i need to add to my pc in order to connect to the Wi-Fi and get good performance???

A wifi dongle or use a motherboard with one built in.

The best WiFi options are a PCI express card. How well it will work depends on how far the signal has to travel and how many walls and what those walls are made out of. There is no speical formula that can compute how well WiFi will work. Its more like a try and see type of thing. You can use Apps like WiFi analyzer for Android to see how much signal you care getting at the location you need it.
