pipe and zipties 2.0

ShadyHost

I've posted my old build on here before. After tinkering with a new idea, I built it last weekend.

Here's something you should never do: suspend a PC mid-air using only zip ties and pipe.

Photos and a video below.

Roast me.

That's actually a really cool idea, it reminds me a bit of InWin's D-Frame mixed with that one ITX Phanteks case.

A full mod around this idea would be really cool to see.

I officially award you the Balls of Steel award for using a Hyper 212 in this ghetto case build.

Hyper 212 is all you need!

i like it!

if you ever end up making a new model maybe it would be a cool idea to run the tubing through the pipes

Change zipties to paracord

I like that idea.
If I take it apart any time soon, I may paint the tubes black or some other color to clean up the look and figure out something else to hold up the GPU
I wonder if paracord stretches with heat?

I guess the most difficult thing, with a build like that, would be plugging things in.

Case made out of PVC pipe and Zip ties but has custom water cooling...

priorities...

This wouls actually work really well if you skipped the zip-ties and simply drilled and added threaded inserts to support a motherboard. Then you add a PCIe bracket for the PVC pipe case and voila, you have an open-concept style case.

It's that cheap EK aluminum kit.

CPU is an 8700k

and the GPU is a 1080ti

I think the total materials cost was around $10

I spent more on the pipe cutters lol
