I've been looking around to figure out why my e5-2680 isn't using its full turbo speed of 3.5ghz the max I've seen is 3.08ghz. I think the 600w 80+ gold psu is over loaded and that could be as I have 64gb of ram, HD7970, 240gb ssd and 1tb wd black. But I can't test as I don't have a better psu to test my theory.

My second theory is that the bios is borked even though I've updated to its latest version.

I seen some one with a simular setup getting 3.44ghz on Tom's hardware, may be a troll or someone who understands the bios better than me.

If anyone can help me I would appreciate it greatly.

Also if I should have posted to a different place please let me know.

It boosts to 3.5Ghz on a SINGLE core .

All core boost is around 3.0ghz .

Their is nothing wrong .
