Redirect cool air into the rig

PEterLo

I buy a air tunnel online and use it to redirect cool air into the rig.

You can order the tunnel in different length.

I'm using it for my captain 240 white.

I move the fans on top of the rig.

The screws for the fan ain't long enough so I have to zip tie it down ,until the nut and bolt I order arrive.

It is sucking in cool air from my air-con.

I'm planing to get more of the air tunnel and build a independent air tunnel for the CoolerMaster 212x I have.5ba3b8b535489_aircool.png.d383b6f1e6222cfef60b478f9d4c2690.png

Update

I added back two of the original fans on the radiator.

Then I run AIDA 64

My i5 8600k At 4700 MHz

Somehow the temperature and voltage got lower at 5000 MHz.

I'm using gigabyte easy tune to overclock and i set the voltage setting at auto ,perhaps that's why.

How hot is your room so that would be necessary?

With an open sided gfx cooler like that make sure you are pulling air into the case through the CPU AIO, that should drop the CPU temps noticeably.

edit:

This means you can hook your shroud to one of the AIO cooler fans if its pulling in.

Be careful of humidity. The recently cooled air like that going through the condensation rish air conditioner can be a bit more humid.

you're prob better off connecting the tube to the exhaust side of the radiator so you can dumb that heat from your pc out of the room.

i still like the idea tho, be careful of condensation as well

I tested the condensation problem, no condensation were seen if I turn off the air-con for more than 10 mins before I turn off my computer.

I don't quite get why you need to move the fans out of the case for this. o.O

How does it compare to not having the duct?

I guess you meant "out of" the case? Everything else is an intake. With an open cooler graphics card, the radiator pumping warm air into the case, and everything else intaking as well, that would just be a torture box.

The fans don't fit with the ram on, i have to file down a corner of the fan in order to fit.

The rig will get 5-8 c hotter without it

I see that's a name for the thing LOL

The obvious answer would be to flip the roles of the fans. Those that are intake would flip to exhaust, pull in through the AIO, pull out through the other fans.
