Two Motherboard Questions

Hi P
Go to solution Solved by Cereal5,

Yes, your CPU determines the number of PCIe lanes you have, and the motherboard only determines how they are used. As for the board, I would go with the Prime X470 Pro, cause it's $25 cheaper. If they're basically the same board then I see no point in spending more for the same thing. Also, the Prime X470 Pro has better equal to better reviews.

1.- I'm between the Asus Prime x470 Pro and the Asus ROG x470 F, they both have super similar specs, which one would be better in terms of features and stability?

2.- Regarding PCIe lanes, I plan on having the R7 2700x (has 20 PCIe lanes), along two GPUs at x8, plus an NVMe through CPU lanes, can I do that on both mobos?

Please help, I'm a bit lost, thank you :)
