Popping out dents with compressed air

So my car has a couple of small dents I wanna get out. I read somewhere that you can use a heat gun and then hold a can of air duster (or whatever you want to call it) to release co2 or whatever to quickly cool it down and pop the dent out with rapid temperature change. 

 

So I don't have any cans of compressed air duster or whatever... But I do have access to a scuba tank compressor and some small air tanks rated for 3000 psi... Do you think  could achieve the same effect by rapidly releasing air? (As air cools when pressure is dropped (I think that is how it works))

Thoughts? Is this a stupid idea?

 

 

Edit: the compressor and tanks are normally for paintball, and I can have about 3000 psi at any given time)

3000psi, that might do more harm than good. If it's a valuable car I'd get it done professionally.

I saw some guy do it with hot water and a plunger, try that.

I'm pretty sure it'll damage the paint if anything. Even with pressure washers, people usually say if it hurts your hand, it'll damage your paint.

This probably only works with canned air not compressed air. Canned air when held upside down blows extremely cold. 

DO NOT accidentally hit the canned air with the torch, you will make a flamethrower. 

This could work but it might fuck the paint. If you can do it from the reverse side chances are better.
