NZXT s340: Still a good option

ChiefMaverick

Hey guys, this is my first ever PC build https://in.pcpartpicker.com/list/9BcwD2 and I have chosen the NZXT s340 case to house my first build. Is this case still a good option and has good air flow, or does it fall short in that? Also, I don't really know which colour to buy, maybe Black and Red combination would be good as that suits my colour scheme (if there is any lol). Or maybe should I go with the Cooler Master MB500?

Thanks

Cases really aren't things that stop being great after a few years. The S340 is a great buy if you can get a nice price on it.

I have an NZXT S340 for my PC right now, the airflow isn't the greatest at all since it has two front fans which are blocked off by the front panel and two puny exhaust fans, but it looks beautiful, is masterfully-designed, and has nice features such as a PSU shroud, acryllic side panel, SSD trays, HDD cage, pre-installed standoffs, and also dust filters for the front and PSU fan (make sure to install your PSU fan facing downwards).

I can confirm there is a black & red variant of the NZXT S340.

Yeah you can't have everything. Mesh cases cost too much and this is a better alternative. Which colour do you have though?

I have mine in white, it's pretty. The NZXT S340 Elite in white also includes a white interior compared to the normal S340 in white which has a black interior, shame that.

I actually have my front panel completely removed so that I have better airflow, alternatively there are ways to modify the front panel to include a mesh, search up videos on YouTube and you're sure to find some interesting discoveries on NZXT S340 case modifcations.

Yeah I guess I won't actually require any modifications. I'll keep the front panel on and install 2 front fans. It'll probably most likely provide more than average air flow to keep the components cool enough

Absolutely. I have 2 Corsair SP120 RGB fans on the front, 1 on the top, and 1 at the back, and my 8600K never goes above 55°C in normal usage.
