Does i3 8100 processor supports a 2666mhz corsair vengeance 8gb ram on a msi h310 pro vdh motherboard??

Actually the motherboard is limited to 2400mhz memory but eh it works much the same.

2400MHz vs 2666MHz is virtually nothing on Intel, tried 2400MHz and then 2666MHz myself and saw nothing in daily usage. I'm now on 2800MHz and I don't even see much improvements outside of Google Chrome and opening stuff.
