I just looked on Newegg and saw this: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1K66K24890&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleMKP-PC-_-pla-_-Intel+Processors-_-9SIA1K66K24890&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7PufmYCu3QIVF7jACh0dDw2LEAYYASABEgLpL_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I cant believe that a processor is actually selling for $11,000! I mean, only large enterprise companies would be able to justify that, for a CPU!

Only large enterprise companies would need that xD

Imagine your local accountants deciding to set up one of these, what possible use would they have :L

Yeah heh, I suppose the pricing is right, seeing its clearly not meant for consumers.

I'm surprised you can buy it as a single CPU. I mean, I expect enterprise stuff as expensive as the Xeon Plat 8180 to be only available in bulk purchase.

It's also worth noting that usually these are bought in bulk by system integrators for much lower prices than these. So while this is what you would have to pay its not necessarily what they would cost if you bought a pre built.

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.
