Fully hide trolls and their reactions

I know about the "ignore" thing, but seems incomplete

 

Scrolling through comments I always stumble upon this little message

why notifying users about the comments or actions of a filthy troll that only does flame wars in every post?

it's like the site saying "hey, remember that troll you've chosen to ignore 3 months ago? well he hasn't been banned yet and guess what, he's still posting! isn't that great?"

 

just why?

It doesn't seem the blocking features are working correctly. This is the second post of this nature I've seen today.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

It has always worked like this in the current version of the forum as far as I can tell. I believe it's by design that you can see when someone you ignore posted or reacted to something. I think it also notifies you when people in your ignore list quote you.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

they should get rid of that feature then, and replace it with an actual effective block.

no we don't want to be completely closed mined here.

While I don't mind seeing reactions, I would like to be able to block the topics posted by the blocked user. 

How the user is blocked is selectable, so I don't see issues with it.
