Cat6e is a literally made up nonsense spec invented by Cable manufacturers. It has no definition, and no spec to adhere to.

 

Cat6a is the actual extension to Cat6.

Cat6a (Cat6 augmented) is the revision to Cat6. It improved some of the specs, making it handle higher speeds for longer distances.

 

Do not ever buy a cable labelled as "Cat6e".

Cat6

Cat6a

Cat7
