I will be giving a speech about online education and what the means for the future. Any Ideas on good points I should cover. I am trying to keep the politics to a minimum. I though about talking about free education through Wikipedia and YouTube. Does that sound Good? Thanks :D

It will mean more possibilities for knowledge for all, but on the other end it will also cause gaps in knowledge in a lot of people; since they will use three tutorial videos for one subject, which may have some 'gaps' of information between them.

Be careful with those, saying Wikipedia counts as free education is a bit like saying a library is free education. YouTube is a great resource but it's also full of misinformation. I'd focus on specific examples of educational content without any ambiguity - for example, instead of "YouTube" you could say "Veritasium" or "Computerphile".

I really think access for online education doens't change much. The people that can succeed at furthering their own education know what resources to seek out and can distinguish the good from the crap..the rest go to the University of Phoenix Mackie Institute Online or watch stupid get woke shit whatever. Where before people went to libraries, now they go online. It only really solves access issues and is more time friendly. You know what they say- You can lead a horse to water but you can't convince him vaccines don't cause autism.

That said, it has a lot of potential upside for the developing world that we've seen.

Here's coming from someone currently doing his Masters entirely online at the moment

1) Flexibility.  I don't have to worry about commuting once or twice a week and remote into class for lectures and discussions with the professor on the other end just like a on site class.

2) Cost.  It would have cost me a good 13K more USD for the on site masters I considered.  Both programs were ranked 1 and 2 respectively for the degree I'm going for and were accredited (aka not the stuff you see tv ads for or such)
