Is my rig getting bottlenecked?

Hi, I am planning on buying a new system. The main configuration I am going to buy is:

• i7-8700k
• Gtx-1080
• 32 GB RAM

I want to know if my system will get bottlenecked. And if it is getting bottlenecked, let me know what changes should I make.

There will always be a bottleneck.
PERIOD.

But that setup is good enough that it won't bottleneck badly at all.

No, having the highest end cpu and gpu available won't cause a bottleneck. You may want to wait a little as both of those are about to be obsolete though.

Even if it won't bottleneck badly, what is it that i need to upgrade ? The gpu or the cpu?

yes but 2k is also ok for me, but if 4k is provided i always go with that setting

Well so the speed of the ram increases on overclocking but does it need any additional fan for cooling purposes

of the 8700k//1080 setup, both of these will be obsolete soon tm, but if u can get them for a good price, that's up to you.

 

if you play games on 4k then the 1080 will be the "bottleneck"

 

You don't have to overclock the ram even if you overclock the cpu. You can overclock the ram but i wouldn't do anything crazy enough so that it needs a fan.
