What do I need for streaming on twitch?

Go to solution Solved by linusforsell,

Best way to know for sure is doing some test streams with different settings. But guessing, from given specifications, you should probably limit yourself to a maximum of 720p, streaming at fairly moderate bit rates (it might be a bit taxing for your laptop, and you don't want the streaming to interfere with your connection to game servers).

Hello, I want to start streaming mainly league of legends on twitch and would like to know what are the minimum requirements I will need, including internet and uploading speeds and if pc specs matter.

I have 50mb download speed and 5mb upload, an amd a8 quad core laptop with 4 gb ram, is that good enough to stream? On what resolutions? Tyty

Use Open Broadcaster. You might only be able to stream at 480p though.

Your internet speeds are fine if they are reliable. If you are playing the game on the laptop and streaming from it to you may run into some troubles.

Use OBS, your internet is good enough to stream HD content, but your PC is lacking. I don't know if you could compress the data fast enough to be sent.

Your PC, it's not exactly what you'd call fast

OBS is a free software for streaming, it's one of the least resource intensive softwares to use.

How about that thing that's built into the nVidia driver? It's supposed to stream to Twitch too....

Didn't read OP fully.
