My brother now resides in Canada and is looking for a PC... however he does not want to build one himself (I've tried, don't go there!).

Can anyone recommend some Canadian based companies for pre builds please? He does not want to pay import and tax from the states.

Thanks!

Didn't realise Newegg has a ship from Canada option. His budget is around $800 and they have refurbs on here by the looks of things.

Cheers

Careful with Newegg. Newegg, like Amazon, has third party sellers on their site, but unlike Amazon you don't have the same level of buyer protection as Amazon. Be sure to check the box for Newegg on the side columns if you want to be sure you are dealing with Newegg directly.

I bought a pre-built PC that I am currently upgrading on a rolling basis. It looks like it's back on sale. Fantastic specs for the price:

Looks like. No idea on the offer, I have been out of the market for a while.

All I can say, get an SSD, any decent SSD to use as your main drive (assuming the desktop has the power connector and SATA cable to use it with the HDD, or get a big SSD to use instead of the HDD where the capacity meets better your needs. Don't assume anything with pre-build OEM desktop computers, it isn't like custom build. PCs, in terms of connectors), you don't need anything super fancy. You'll thank me.
