Forza 7 on PC and Xbox Live?

So I was considering eventually getting Forza 7 to do online co-op eventually but I can't seem to tell if an active xbox live subscription is required to do that or not.

Maybe someone would be able to shed light on that for me?

whilst you are on a xbox one yes, although i don't think that you need a xbox live account on PC. I don know that you can't do your career missions with a friend that option is only avaliable in forza horizon series.

You need live gold to play online on the console, but on windows 10 it's free

i thought so yeah, because it runs thru the microsoft store it self. Plus i you sing in with your account in thexbox app from windows you can download the game for free on your pc, so that way you can try it out.
