DerpTrolling DDoS's many gaming related services

siliconangle.com/blog/2014/01/01/derptrolling-continues-ddos-trolling-gaming-sites-and-twitch-streamers-for-new-years-day/

DerpTrolling, have been getting their hands dirty in the last day or so, taking down LoL (see news article) and since then, earlier today they got Planetside 2, andDC universe online. They also got the Minecraft login servers.

And, wait for it. They brought down Steam and the PSN. Apparently bringing down PS2/DCUO as well as soe.com and many other sony related services took less than 10% of their ability... So they are pretty powerful. Who knows whats next? As annoying as this is, im impressed, they have a serious amount of power.

And to top it all off, they are taking requests, you can text or call them with a request for them to DDoS a company/game....

I'm not quite sure that bringing down Steam only uses 10% of their power, seems like an unproven claim to me. We will wait and see.

Duly noted, but still, it is just all claims on their part, let's see what they can actually do, or are they just trumpeting around.

Indeed, they do have some might. I'm curious whether they'll start going after bigger prey, that will make me impressed and terrified of them at the same time.

What I really want to know is why these 12 year old kiddies (at least mental age wise) want to DDoS so much....

They need to get out and enjoy life... life isn't all about 'em video games and computers .... (coming from the guy who browses this forum too often).

To clarify, I do go out and socialise with people *shock*

LOL, loser! The only light I need is from my monitor's backlight!

On a more serious note...ohh, so this is why Steam crashed for what, 5 minutes? That's cool, it was only the store portion anyway, not like community went down! These guys aren't worth jack if they can't take down all of Steam.
