About an hour ago I was watching the Fastest Storage Ever video and I looked over at the video feed and came across this...

Yeah, a Vodka Cooled PC

Now the reason I'm making this topic is because I want to know more about the practicality of this and how efficient it would actually be if it was used in a real world application where it was used consistently for day to day tasks and gaming. Could this possibly be even any ware near effective? or would the vodka evaporate and cause the system to overheat?

Aurora:

RAM- 8gb

PSU- EVGA GQ 650 Watt

You would have a Soviet Bear as your picture.

Its Liquid cooled so it should be pretty decent to start, but as it goes on the temps will rise as more evap happens and less fluid is available for heat transfer

I would have pressure concerns when running it under load for hours. Alcohol would evaporate creating excess pressure which in theory can pop out one end of the tubing.

I've used evaporation alcohol and dry ice cooling, vodka would work for that but I wouldn't used it in a contained system.

Alcohol evaporation would be the biggest problem, other than that I think it would be practical enough. You don't even need to worry about bacteria growing in the loop as the alcohol will keep it sterile. It would be more expensive than water though.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Ethanol + Acrylic  = Cracks over time. Also not good for the rubber in the o-rings. Most probably will spring a leak over time if not maintained frequently.

Ethanol is probably going to fuck up gaskets and stuff that are not meant to take it.

And that dude's accent sounds fake as fuck.  It sounds like someone thinking a french accent is a russian accent.
