Is the Hyper 212 evo not good enough? Do you mean I should make the jump to liquid cooling?

there are many air coolers that are better than the 212 evo, you don't have to get a liquid cooler, the 212 evo is decent for the price but it is low/mid range ish, you shouldn't have any problems with the 212 evo but it wouldn't hurt to get a more beefy cooler.

edit: well, honestly, if you are already using the evo you might aswell just stick with it, it's a pretty good build, if you ever plan on upgrading it you could throw in a new gpu and still have a perfectly balanced system.

Well that is the hard drive i started with, realized it wasn't enough and purchased a 1TB external (got it for 39.99 on black friday). Then upgraded to an SSD for my operating system and a select few applications.

I personally would get a more powerful GPU but from where it stands, I don't think it is bad at all though my personal preferences would be Intel and nVIDIA.

Yeah, I agree with you. When I first built my computer September 2012, I just grabbed the 7770 because I was on a budget and it was the best for the money at the time. Although I wish I would have spent the extra money for something a little better. It isn't a bad card, however, I feel that it is the one thing that needs to be replaced the soonest. Well, that and maybe add 8gb more ram

If you are only gaming then 8GB is enough, invest the money into the GPU and I'd say an SSD as well

If you want a more powerful rendering machine, Intel chips will give you that (i7 kinda stuff). Maybe a better GPU and some more SSD space, I mean everything is pretty good. Maybe higher the clocks and get a mid range water/air cooler (H60 or something). Idk what your case is so you could get a new one. It doesn't desperately need upgrading.

A better graphics card would be a nice place to start upgrading.

Here're a few suggestions:

AMD

7950

280X

290

NVIDIA

760

770

780

Other than the graphics card, there's really nothing else to criticize.

Well, you may want to do so but only if you upgrade your gpu to something like a 290x. In this case, overclocking ypur cpu could potentially give you a nice fps boost.

Budget on GPU?

GTX 780 have a pretty good price/preformence ratio, but i R9 280x would be good to or R9 290 no refference. there is a bunch of good GPu for the money today

I think 8 GB more of RAM would be nice. Don't worry too much about your 500GB :) I have 8 500GB harddrives in my closet for media backups.
