So just my luck the day before my 780 comes in I get a random power off from my PC, I thought I might have kicked a chord out, I restart it and its all fine. Abour 4 hours later I start up Dota 2 and my PC turns off again except this time its not turning back on. I pulled it immediately and did the green to black wire short test on the 24pin and the fan starts up I hear a click and it shuts off. The power supply is a Corsair HX 750, I am extremely dissapointed by this and somewhat afraid that it might have crapped on the rest of my components as well, what are the chances of that happening? Is it common that a PSU takes a few other parts with it? This is the first time I've had a PSU die in this fashion so Im a bit new to it. I will try to get a friends PSU either tonight or first thing in the morning to try to get my PC going and post on update. The PSU has just gone into its 13th month that I've had it and I'm not sure what the corsair PSU warranty is like. Any thoughts on what I should look out for while mending this situation?

corsair psus are pretty high quality and it probably has turned off a few times, because it detected an error and the safety functions kicked in. I would not be too worried.

Its only happened the two times today, my PC has never shut down unless I actually wanted it to, thats why it had me worried a bit. Anyone have any experience RMAing items to corsair? How long does it usually take for them to send a new unit back?

That is what I was thinking, the powersupply however isnt brand new. I bought it thanksgiving of 2012 so its only about a year old, so I figure my only solution is to go through Corsair at this point.

I picked it up from newegg, corsair accepted my RMA though I had to close it to reopen a new one so that I can do their express RMA. Apparently you have to pay for a new PSU so they can send it out and they refund you once you send in your old one.

Its not that big of a deal if I can get corsair to ship me one before the weekend...and their warehouse is only about 500 miles away from my house so it shouldnt take more than a few days even if its ground shipping.
