Aorus Gaming Box (rx 580) either wont turn on, or will constanttly turn off and on.

My eGPU either wont turn on or will turn on and off quickly. (Either that or it connects and disconnects quickly, as the LEDs go off and on while I get constant chimes of hell from windows telling me its connected or disconnected)

No idea what the problem is here. Is it just borked? Should I return it?

I have:

  • Turned off Windows Firewall

  • Tried many different power sources and power cables

  • Cleaned and adjusted all ports

  • Ran thunderbolt settings as an administrator (but I only see it appear sometimes and that's only when its turning on and off)

  • Downloaded all drivers (at least I think)

Razer is known to have some pretty bad QC issues, I'd look at those

If not that, what else could it be?

I can't think of anything. Try and find another laptop with Thunderbolt to test it on
