Fair value, sold EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2 Hybrid for $600

Jrasero

So it seems that the 1100 series or 2000 or whatever Nvidia might have up their sleeves will probably be announced on August 20th and launch on August 30th.  Supposedly*.  I finally bit the bullet and put in my order or a Dan Case A4 (hopefully comes in 3 weeks) which doesn't support my now previous EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2 Hybrid w/ 120MM AIO.  Thus I have been pretty motivated to ditch this card in hopes of getting an air 1080 Ti at $600-$650 brand new.  Everyday it seems there is a new deal for brand new 1080 Ti's, $650 being the lowest so far.  Also the card cosmetically had scratches on the face of the card and had bent/scratched radiator fins since I stupidly crammed it into other builds.  In a closed system the cosmetic blemishes wouldn't have mattered but with my last build of a Phanteks Evolv Shift it was a daily reminder of how stupid I am.

I guess my question is $600 is pretty fair value right?  On Ebay I see these going for $650 used in perfect condition albeit they were mined on.  I can't imagine 1080 Ti's even Hybrid ones hold their value any longer the closer we get to August 20th, even if Nvidia bones us over and doesn't present a 1180.

Second question is I am pretty satisfied with the performance of a 1080 Ti but I have left open the option for waiting for a 1180 if it's reasonably priced $600-$700, but my question is how low do you see new 1080 Ti's going?  If 1080 Ti's hit $550-$600 I am not sure a hypothetical $700 1180 is worth it in my opinion.  I am almost tempted to buy the 1080 Ti now for $650.

Being a SFF guy I am kind of pissed I didn't get the $650 Zotac Mini GTX 1080 Ti since this could be used in a lot of builds for years to come.  Hopefully this drops back down or even gets to $600.

There's currently a Gigabyte GTX 1080 Ti triple fan going for $530 + shipping, gonna assume that's mined since the seller still has 4 cards left. With the new series coming out, 1080 Ti's would probably drop to around the $400 range, depending on the pricing and performance on the newer cards.  I wouldn't spend more than $570 currently for a 1080 Ti anyway, maybe $600-650 if it was 1080 Ti Kingpin but really they should be around $500-550 range used atm.

Yeah I think you are talking used when I am talking about brand new.  Either way the cards I am looking at is restricted due to the case I am getting so a triple fan or Kingpin is out of the question
