What do you think for a 350 dollar setup?

DatWolf

Hi there :)

Well, I havent make the research but I do think you can get something exponentially better for maybe 500 bucks.

Is not much more and you will go with 2018 standards.

My recommendation if you're in such a budget problem but your hobby is to play games is to save some months.

I know, sounds "grandmothery" but for 200 - 300 more bucks you could be getting pre built systems with 2018 standards.

Il see about maybe increasing my budget.

Also I dont need much graphics power or anything like that but thanks for the recommendation. :)

I would steer far away from that build. Even at a lower budget it is not that great.

For 75$ extra you get a build worth buying.

You will have to use it without a case, but it is the minimum a new build should include.

Try looking on the used market for a core i5 desktop pc for about 200$. Buy a new PSU for 50$ and a used GPU for 100$

You might as well go used and pick yourself up an slightly older Dell Optiplex (like Ivy or Haswell based), then put a GPU in it. An Athlon X4 is...how should I put it... is very borderline even when it was new a couple of years ago.

You’re overpaying a lot for that 750ti! It’s like $60 for a used one.

Anyways, you should try to find a used/refurbished computer with a Core i5 (3rd or 4th Gen) and 8gb of RAM for around $200 then just add a video card like a GTX 1050.

How hard would it be to upgrade a HP Compaq DC-5850

Atleast to run some light games or would I be better of in Ebay/Craigslist?
