Well, if you're using 1st gen Ryzen, then X370.

2nd gen Ryzen, X470.

2nd gen will work on X370, but you will most likely need a BIOS update.

I know that. I am asking about VRM quality and onboard features... Also i am planning to buy Ryzen 5 1600.

You will need to spend mote than 150$ to get good VRMs on motherboards. The ones on some B350 boards and lower end X series boards are decent, but nothing amazing.

I will recommend to stay away from the Asus Prime boards. They arent great.

The Prime Pro is good (VRM wise). The Prime-A and down is bad. For Intel, the Prime-A is the good one.

Hi!

I am in search of new motherboard ( socket AM4 ). The model which I have in mind is Asus Prime X370-pro. It looks like it has good quality VRM and all the features I need ( M.2 slot, 4DIMM solts, etc. ). The budget for motherboard is around 100USD

P.S I prefer Asus motherboards since i have a lot of experience using them and they have lasted me for a long time.

Wait... I thought X370 chipset was better than B350 motherboards.

Youll have better luck OCing with x370 rather than b350

sure, x370 is better but are the features worth the 50 dollar premium? if you are a normal gamer, and day to day user of your computer, the b350 chipset will be more than enough for your needs. also if you dont know the actual benifits of the x370 chipset vs the b350, it is just that you can have more ports for usb and sata, and overclocking

Well... in my region B350 is cheaper than X370. LOGIC.

Also I am into overclocking, so VRM quality really matters to me

buying the 1600 does not need monstrous VRM as many are leading to. if you have to HAVE speedy fast RAM, then the 450/470 will be a better support to start with. if 2933 is that level, then most 370/350 can hit that stride (msi??). if your expectations of 4.0/4.1 on the CPU. then lean 470. if 3.9 is tracking, then 370/350.
