LiveStreaming Data Usage

Hi all I want to live stream a video on my mobile data because there is no cable connection. I was wondering how many gigs it would use for a 2-3 hours 1920x1080 7000bit rate stream to youtube.

sadly though its gonna lagg like a lot of lagg also you need to use math and ithink your only gonna last like arround maybe 10 mins i suggest getting a ethernet instead like 5mbps is good

My mobile can do 90mbs on hotspot do you think that will be sufficient

well using data means you dont have unlimited ethernet right u can if u have unli it will be fast and also as long as you want but with data its gonna be a pretty short time like 10 mins

i guess you mean 7000kbit as your bitrate right?

 

then its pretty simple you gonna need about 7000kbit/s which is about 25GB of data per hour.

It may be slightly higher than that calculator as it depends if they charge including or excluding network overheads.  I suspect it would be the former.

90Mbps is your download rate which means jack shit when it comes to streaming. Whats your upload rate? Because thats the one you need to worry about.

You'll blow through pretty much any offering pretty quickly.  Most 'unlimited data' have caps at a couple dozen GB.

 

I wouldn't dick with streaming until you had something better, 7000 kbit will blow through about 3 GB an hour.
