My pc refuses to pickup my mic

USB Device not recognised on all USB ports. My mic worked fine one second I bumped the table it disconnected and it wouldn't pick up again. The mic is a Turtle Beach Stream Mic.

But in all seriousness, have you restarted the computer? I had something similar happen to me not too long ago (MSI mobo) and a restart fixed it.

probably a long shot, do you have windows settings set to allow to apps using your microphone, part of privacy settings?

also, are we talking on board USB ports or USB ports on a wire, like for front i/o - if so, check the wire is not loose.

just for kicks, can you try boot a linux live os, just to see if the problem is on the board or with the mic?

yes it is, but oh wait, i guess your pc dont even recognize usb sticks atm, so would only be able to test that theory out if you have a spare sata drive somewhere to put a image of linux on

but what does that help, if the issue is your usb ports - do they work for other usb devices? or its only the mic that stopped working? could even try on another machine, to test if its a driver issue on this machine
