I am facing a huge problem while playing Battlefiled 1 (this is what i mainly play)

Currently i am running windows 10 pro while in multiplayer lot of times i get super lagg due to network so i went out to task manager to see what was using my internet and giving me so much lag there i saw 3 windows services taking more than half of my bandwidth which is quit less 5 mbps that i cannot upgrade right now its just downloading something always so the ping also goes up

My firend suggested that i should use windows 7 as we can stop stupid windows updates there and that might help

So what should i do whats the solution for this problem

Upgrading my connection and staying on windows 10

Use windows 7 until i can upgrade the connection

Or something else

Also how much performance will i loose in terms of gaming and editing videos thats what i do mainly if i switch back to windows 7

I am running i7 8700 gtx 1080ti 16gb ram

None. You might even gain some performance.

15

I would stay on Windows 10 and get a better internet connection as it seems yours currently isn't great.

Also, I would recommend changing a toggle in Windows Settings.

By default, it is set to the bottom of the 2 choices. You can turn it off entirely or just set it to PCs on your local network.

That should make your experience better.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

ASUS has at least one 300 series chipset board with Windows 7 support: https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-Z370-A/HelpDesk_Download/

Also it's not that Windows 7 won't run on modern systems period, it'll just have reduced functionality.
