Akg K7xx Amp Gaming - Power compatibility

Hi, so i have recently gotten an Akg K7xx headset. I've been using a Feenix Aria comboed with an Astro Mixamp, but since i got the k7xx ive noticed that the lows and the overall sound of the headsett feels like its not getting enough juice.

So then i was researching and thinking about getting the GSX 1000 and plugging my k7xx into that, since the ohm's adds up. But i found out that the power requirments from the k7xx would be more than the gsx 1000 could provide.

I play games with this headset and listen to music when im working on my computer, so an amp that is suitable for gaming foremost would be good enough.

So basically my question is: do anyone have any recommendations or any experience with an amp for the k7xx that gives it enough power to run fine? OR is it possible to combo the Mixamp i have from before with something simple as the soundblaster E5 or a fiio?

Amps ive been looking at :

Blasterx G5

Blasterx E5

Fiio E9

Fiio E12

BenQ VITAL

Thanks in advance :)

Most AKGs are certainly more demanding than average with their pretty high current draw.

Actually 250 ohm Beyers would be easier load with their lot lower current draw.

Even if GSX could power headphones it's genuine heavily overpriced gaming trinket:

Used Conexant chip meant for cheap phones/tablets is worser DAC than budget level Audigy Fx/Xonar DGX sound cards.

Though that BenQ gaming trinket still manages to beat it with ALC892 level approaching SNR.

Then again that's likely also the level of DAC in Mixamp.

Sound BlasterX AE-5 would have overall best headphone output of any sound card, while having top level D/A converter.

Also Creative has better binaural sound simulation than old Dolby Headphone of Mixamp.

That external BlasterX G5 has mostly same software, but headphone output isn't as strong.

Thanks for the reply,

so in other words the Benq and E5 would be able to run them, but the G5 might be able to? Do you have any recommendations that you know about that i havent listed here ?

Just like GSX that BenQ is genuine gaming fashion product with heavy overpricing.

For that price it should come with top level DAC, instead of low end one:

~40 $/€ level Audigy Fx/Xonar DGX have better DAC!

Sound BlasterX G5 is identical to E5 except lack of battery, Bluetooth connectivity and integrated microphone.

But unless lacking PCI-e slots AE-5 is better for the price of G5.

Thanks again and sorry for the late reply.

The quality and the specs of what that the Ae5 deliveres seems to be the way to go. But i usually do most of my gaming on my Ps4 nowdays and work on my pc, so im kinda looking for a solution that could work on both.

The G5 or E5 seems like some valid options, but maybe i should look for some Amps that isnt stapled with "gaming".
