Hey,

 

Not to sure where to post this, But I just got this new Laptop, and doing nothing just sitting at the desktop, Is this normal to have this High Disk usage spikes?

Well now that I look at it. Its back down to 5/10/15 %

Just odd it was staying that high for a couple of mins

if you've just installed Windows then yes that's totally normal. If it doesn't stop doing that after quite a while then i'd be concerned.

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

In your picture, SuperFetch is using your drive. It's perfectly normal for SuperFetch to do this, as it tries to load files it believes you might need into RAM, so it'll take less time for you to open your apps.

Do you think I should buy a 128Gb SSD Boot drive, Before Upgrading to 16Gb of RAM?

 

Idk about loading Apps fast, But it would be nice to have Windows on a SSD.

Oh yeah definitely. 128GB SSD over 16GB RAM any day of the week.

I'm from Canada, Where everything is overpriced. 

Not sure if they all work the same, Dont wanna buy something thats not gonna work.

 

Here, are some I found.

Corsair Force MP300 M.2 2280 120GB PCI-Express 3.0 x2, NVME 1.3 3D TLC

Corsair becasue its a Brand I know.. 

60$ 120Gb

 

Mushkin Enhanced Source M.2 2280 250GB SATA III 3D TLC

This one is 250Gb but Idk what brand that is...

80$ 250Gb

 

EDIT: It says PCIe SSD... Thoses are Just the Presets it has, But Mine has a Open slot, bc I went with only the Harddrive

Do you want more storage but slower or faster storage but smaller capacity?

 

Cos you can get a M.2 SATA SSD for cheaper than a NVMe SSD. But the NVMe SSD will be faster in sequential writes and reads.

How much is "faster" 

Like right now, Turning on the computer takes awhile.

Plus doing anything, I really dont care about size, Due to me being Extremely broke.
