What's this used for? (some gpu pin)

Random_User123

I got this random 4 pin connector on my Rx 580 8gb and I have no cable that fits it. Is it needed to use that cable? And if so what cable may it be?

I believe that's the fan connector for your gpu and it's already connected.

But it's just sticking out, how could it be connected?

Thats a fan connector. The back of the connector protrudes through the back of the pcb

It's connected on the opposite side, on the other side it's sticking out because they manufactured it like that and the fact that you don't have a backplate on your gpu makes it more visible.

By all means leave it alone, lol. If those pins touch anything metal, you'll get a short and your GPU's fans might stop working, so just leave it as is. It's simply soldered this way.
