Thinkpad 25 Anniversary Edition? What ​​​​​​​are your thoughts?

I was thinking of getting the new Thinkpad 25, but people are talking about how bad it is due to the price and lake of Quad-Core and other features are missing, even the keyboard I couldn't find anyone talking about the keyboard and the quality of it? Is it same as the old ThinkPad's because some reviews just mentioned that the keyboard has the same layout, but no one spoke about the switches?

I also hate the fact that it is 1080p display not higher.

Don't buy based on a name, and don't buy based on hype or 'limited stock'.  Function over form.  If you have a doubt beyond a chassis color choice, don't buy it.  There's loads of options on the market.

Every time I hear people complain of the specs of it, I just want to slap them...with a ThinkPad...W series... specifically the W700ds... the one with the dual display. No one said it was going to be good value. Nothing that is a special "Anniversary edition" or a collectable is ever going to be "great value". It's just a nod to the good old days. It's for people who are serious ThinkPad fanatics with the big enough bank accounts.

I wouldn't buy it. I'd get something more modern. It just seems overpriced for what it is.

As soon as 8th gen came along, this thing was obsolete.

It's basically a T470 with some flashy features. And super overpriced. Just get the new T480 (or T480s if you need more portability).
